Evolution Stages
Stage 1 — Dormant (0–10 seconds)
- The Sculkling spawns in a passive state
- Behaves like a villager — hides in beds, opens doors
- Avoids players at 8 blocks
- Will not attack under any circumstances
Stage 2 — Awakening (10–20 seconds)
- Gains 50 HP and begins to show aggression
- Deals 4 damage on contact
- Displays panic behavior — alternates between fleeing and attacking
- Plays sculk activation sounds
Stage 3 — Hunter (20+ seconds)
- Fully hostile with 60 HP and 6 damage
- Uses movement-based detection at 20-block range
- Delayed attack with 1.5x reach
- Targets players, snow golems, and iron golems
- Breaks vegetation while pursuing
Kill Them Early
Sculklings are weakest in Stage 1 when they won't fight back. If you spot one, eliminate it before it evolves into a full-threat hunter.
Spawning
Sculklings are found in village-like structures in the Deep Dark. They behave as dwellers, inhabiting structures and interacting with doors and beds.
